I am trying to transfer my BT Mobile number to EE but the EE web form wants to send a PIN to the new EE number. I can only make this EE number able to receive the PIN by changing the SIM in my phone from the BT one to the new EE SIM but I don't want to cut my phone off from callers by changing the SIM (and I don't know if the new EE SIM is working). I don't intend to ever use the EE number and I have a PAC to enable my BT number to be ported. How can I do the transfer but without switching the SIMs until the old BT number stops working indicating the port has happened? Should I find an old phone or something?

Hi @briesmith
Thanks for coming to the community.
If you have an old phone that you can pop the EE SIM into, that will certainly mean that you don't have to turn off your current number. It will also make sure that the EE SIM is connecting to the network correctly.
It should only take a couple of minutes for the text to come through then you can leave the EE SIM off until your number moves.

Thanks Michael
I thought that was the only solution.
Thanks for your help.
