keeping ee number from 24 month contract to 1 month sim contract

I have finished my 24 month essential sim unli plan (£34/month) and was thinking of switching to a 1 month sim plan (unli no frills) since I am planning to leave UK for good next year. With this, is there a way for me to keep my current ee number? cause I have tried choosing the 1 month sim plan and have placed the PAC code but it is saying that the PAC is only used when changing to new network providers. I am not leaving ee. I would just like to not commit to another 24month contract but still use my current ee number.

PLEASE HELP.

Look for the upgrade option, sounds like you're choosing the one for either an additional line or a new one

If you've completed the minumum-term of a 24month plan, then you will now be on a rolling 30day notice plan anyway. You don't have a fixed-term contract, you have a rolling contract with a minimum-term that you've completed.

But I agree that you're likely choosing the "new connection" options rather than "upgrade now"
