DO I NEED NEW SIM CARD AFTER UPGRADE

I’m currently in Thailand so cannot get to an EE shop.

I know I can upgrade my existing SIM contract without needing a new SIM card, but does it need re-activating in the UK as I can’t currently get there?

Hi @DenB2026,

You shouldn't need a new SIM card just because you've upgraded. If you're keeping the same number and SIM, it will continue to work on your upgraded plan without needing to be reactivated in the UK.

As you're currently in Thailand, your service should continue as normal as long as your SIM is active and roaming is enabled on your account and device. 

Any plan changes associated with your upgrade are usually applied automatically.
