I switched back to EE from GiffGaff on Tuesday.
I got given a temporary number e-sim which I have set as my secondary phone on my iPhone.
However, my old number which I am bringing with me (I have submitted my PAC to EE, along with my telephone number) is still linked to GiffGaff after 6 days.
I was told the switch would take 24 hours, but possibly up to 72.
This is about to become a problem as my GiffGaff account is about to close as I submitted the cancellation, which will leave me without my phone number.

You have been misadvised as regards the timescale. A number ports-in to EE the working day after you submit the PAC.
If you ported in Tuesday and are still having problems, something has gone awry and EE-CS, who have account-access, should be your point of contact.
Can you explain what you mean by your number being "linked to Giffgaff"? What happens when you make an outbound call - is the correct number shown? How about someone calling your number - where does it ring?
Same question for text messages. I suspect you have what's known as a "split port", which EE-CS should be escalating if you've reported it.

Thanks for the reply Bristolian.
By linked to giffgaff I mean it is still taking calls to the GiffGaff voicemail, and showing as on the GiffGaff network in mobile Service in settings on my phone.
How do I go about reporting it, as the helpline isn't open at the weekend?
I need it sorted today really as my GiffGaff account is closed as of tomorrow.

Hi @MockBravado,
Welcome to the EE Community
Our helpline is open until 8pm on the weekend so if you are able to call our guides are available to take a look at your account to help find out when the number transfer will complete.
Though with regards to cancellation, when you are cancelling via a PAC code, the number would only cancel with Giffgaff once it has transferred over to EE.
