I've recently ported two numbers from BT to EE. One of the numbers has ported across OK with the SIM information showing the correct number. The second number I ported is not showing on the SIM information although the ported number comes up when calling. This is causing an issue with chat functions which use the SIM number (i.e. EE temporary number) rather than the ported number.
Both numbers are using Samsung phones so any help appreciated.

Hi @DP05,
When did the port take place? Is it possible that things are still going through and therefore causing the issues you are talking about?
What happens if you text NUMBER to 150 from the new sim?
Thanks,
Alex

Thank you for the response.
Texting NUMBER to 150 sends back the correct ported number. Not sure yet whether the data on the phone is showing the same number.

No worries. Give your phone a reboot and the correct number should appear in settings then.
Thanks,

The reboot has not changed the number showing in the SIM manager data - still the temporary EE number.

Please try a network reset on the phone - in settings, look for 'Reset' and then choose 'Reset Network Settings'.
It will look a little something like this.

Will that have any other unintended consequences - I don't want to lose any other data/apps etc

It will only reset the network settings, so it will refresh your mobile data settings, wifi and bluetooth settings. It won't delete any data. You may need to reconnect to your home WiFi and any bluetooth devices you use though.
It should update itself over time. if it isn't causing any issues with calling, texting and data then i would just ignore it.
Thanks,
Alex

It is causing issues with RCS messaging platform as it can't verify the ported number and shows to other contacts as the temporary EE number.
