Re: eSim activation without my old phone

I have same issue been locked out of apple account because I need a code from my number but can’t get it coz I had a eSIM and deleted it from my phone tried to reactivate the eSIM but need a code again to activate it. I’ve ordered a physical sim will this work or will I need to activate it by having a code again which I won’t be able to get unless it activates has soon as it goes in the sim slot again? Or shall I ring to see if they can activate the eSIM online or shall i go to shop to see if I can get a sim there and then?

Did you speak with our team to order a replacement SIM? If you ordered this in the app then you will need a working SIM to set this up. 

If you are keen to get this sorted as swiftly as possible then you can pop into your local EE store, with some photo ID, and our team will be able to get you set up with a free eSIM or physical SIM on the spot.

You won't be able to do this online and if this wasn't ordered by our team then you wouldn't be able to set this up over the phone. It might be worth giving the team a call just to check.

Okay I ordered myself the sim online I will have to go shop soon if it won’t work

If you've ordered this without speaking with the team then this won't work, as we will need to send you a code to your exisiting SIM to activate this @Dan4Dav.

Once they give me a actual sim and then I restart my phone will it work straight away on iPhone set up so when they send me a code it will come through

Went to shop today got new sim and phone back to normal
