Phonecall offering new sim card

My husband has just received a phone call from Eric @EE telling him is sim is out of date and will stop working tomorrow, as my husband was struggling to understand is accent he passed the phone to me, I had a bit of fun with him before telling him he needs to email me first then I would know he was from ee but he wouldn’t so I said I would call into the EE shop and have a chat with them and hung up no details given

You've done the right thing in being wary of the call, as it is not something we'd call about.

If you do receive any further calls claiming to be from EE, you can see if it is genuine on our Direct Partners page.

We also have an online form to report a scam or nuisance call to us.
