That’s not strictly true…

I am in the UK but have the same problem.

No service to receive eSIM text.

Not true. I also got my iPhone 13 from UK and it has dual sim!

I have exactly the same problem (although not been abroad), I have my old ohone, but my sim now won’t work in either… 

Dual sim in the UK means you can have one physical SIM card and one ESim, but not two ESims, but only if you are on contract, can you have an ESim, not pay as you go.
