I have the same issue. Purchased contract online last Monday and provided PAC code with the contract. Got an email confirming successful order at 11am with mention of keeping my old number (saying that once I download my eSIM, my current number will be transferred within 1 working day). Only 2 days later on Wednesday got the QR code in the EE app. Downloaded eSIM and 2 days later on Friday still nothing - have both temporary and old number, no emails/SMS or anything regarding what's going on. The link to get the exclusive extra doesn't work but the SMS I get from EE says great news your EE services are now fully activated. So, after some googling I decided to send an SMS to request a number transfer (PORT to 150). Says it will happen the following Monday (today). I received a text today from EE that the number transfer is done as well as the sorry to see you go message from O2 saying number transfer will happen today. Several hours later, nothing's happened. So, it's been a week and still nothing. Previously move from Vodafone to O2 happened in a day with no problems at all and I got an email or text for every step along the way explaing what will happen and when.

That's great @vamoose
Hope all goes well with your new phone too.
Have a look at Transfer your phone number from your previous iPhone using eSIM Quick Transfer page for easy steps on transferring your eSIM to your new phone.
Just remember to only transfer the new EE eSIM!
Great that you have joined us, welcome to EE! 😃

Your post has been moved to a new thread.
It's standard practice for porting to only be done on working days. EE will usually allocate a port-in date the following working day after the PAC is submitted, which in the scenario of "PAC provided during online order" is delayed until your SIM is activated onto the network.
It's quite normal for service to be split on the day of port-in, as not all elements are transferred at the exact same time. I can't quite work out from your post where in the process you are, but service is not fully transferred by the day after port-in, there's a fair bet that some manual intervention will be required - which requires access to your individual account.
EE-CS on 150 have that access, which is not provided on this public internet forum.

HI @vamoose
As you have received a text message to say your transfer is complete, please switch both your EE and previous network SIM card off for1 minute and back on. This will help update all your services, setting and records with new number straight away.
But as @bristolian said it can take until midnight for services to complete.

Thanks @Ali_A
The O2 currently shows as no service in the top right corner of the phone, whereas EE is fine. When I go into Settings/Cellular (on iOS 26.1) it shows Secondary eSIM my old number still with O2 and Primary eSIM my new/temporary number with EE. I've also restarted the phone a few times since the O2 displayed "No service" first time but no change. Now, I've switched both eSIMs off. When I switch them on, should I expect that the Primary eSIM (which displayed the new/temporary number) will display my old number? I.e., will the number be ported to the new eSIM (which I called Primary) or will the operator change in my other eSIM which currently says O2 but has the correct old mobile number?
Updated: after switching both eSIMs on, now they both show my old number.

@vamoose
If you have both O2 and EE in the same phone, please remove the deactivated SIM card from the device.
If it's an eSIM you can do this in the manage SIM section of the phone. Just be sure to remove the old SIM not the new EE one!

I don't have a physical SIM card at all. Both are eSIMs 🙂
But thanks. I think it's fine now. I've set the O2 eSIM to Off now and chose the EE eSIM for cellular data and default voice line. I'll delete the O2 eSIM tomorrow, once I've confirmed everything's okay. It's okay, just took a lot longer than my previous move, which took just one day. The QR code to download eSIM was in the contract email right away and move was next day. I purchased that online too. This one took exactly a week. But hey, the coverage is better where I need it, which is why I moved 🙂

No problem at all @vamoose
You can manage your iPhone's eSIM by going to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data), and switch off the previous SIM.
As the old SIM will never work again, it's best to delete it completely from your phone to avoid future accidental issues. To remove an eSIM from an iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data), select the eSIM you want to delete, scroll down, and tap Delete eSIM. You will need to confirm the action by tapping Delete eSIM again.
Let me know how you get on 🙂

Everything seems to be okay. Now I just purchased a new phone yesterday (been waiting for this number change before I can use it) so next step will be to move the eSIM to new phone. Hope that goes better than this, haha. 🙂 Thanks for your help!
