I have just received my new EE SIM card due to Plusnet closing down. When do I need to activate my new SIM and will I need to inform Plusnet of this?

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Your SIM card will be pre-activated and ready to use with a temporary number. As soon as you insert your new SIM, your number transfer should be initiated. Transfers are usually completed within 1-2 working days.
