I am trying to port my old number across but I get the error
"Please make sure you enter the right phone number. It must be a UK phone number and start with 07."
It does begin with 07 (see attached) they are valid numbers with a valid PAC so I am not sure what the problem is. I tested by putting in a wrong number and I get the correct error that the PAC isnt valid for that number.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @socket1001 I would suggest phoning and giving them your PAC.
Also, start the process on Monday, always wise to avoid Fridays for PACs, as there's no one around at the weekend should the be an issue.

Ok thanks will do, its just a frustrating error! I don't even know why they have an online form for it if it doesn't work, and there is no workaround other than calling.

I had this problem. Searched high and low for an answer.
I was using Safari on an iMac. When I tried using Google Chrome on the same iMac - it worked no problem.
Must be some dodgy validation on the form that doesn't work on Safari.

I had the same issue. Just changed the browser from Chrome to Firefox and everything worked fine.
