I am looking to upgrade but want to keep my number. The option of texting for my pac code doesn’t work as I have another phone on my account so I get a text back saying the text option isn’t available for me. The only other way I can find is by going down the route of ‘leaving ee’ I don’t want to leave i want to upgrade, will I still be ok going down this route just to get the pac code and then using this for my upgrade ?

A PAC is used to port your number to another network whilst keeping your number, and in doing so cancel your existing contract. If you want to upgrade to a new phone, then simply purchase your chosen phone as an upgrade and you will retain your number as a matter of course.
