PAC Transfer from BT Confusion

Yesterday I received my new sim from EE which I ordered 4 days previously. I want to transfer my number from BT. When I ordered the sim it asked for my old number and PAC code. On the confirmation email it says: "Once you’ve received your order, insert your new EE sim into your device, to complete your number being moved to EE and your account being closed with your old network provider."

I've inserted my new sim (after 17:30 yesterday) but it is not using my old number.

However, in the delivery there was instructions saying to goto ee.co.uk/transfermynumber.

When I try this link and enter my PAC code I get a message saying: "Please make sure you enter the right code. Your PAC will look like ABC123456. Your STAC will look like 123456ABC."

So which is the correct bit of information and why is my old number not transferred? has something gone wrong?

Hi @Rushy23,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

If a new number transfer was started today, I'd expect your number transfer to complete on Monday.

Hope this helps.

James

Thanks James

One of the two mobiles switched yesterday, the other today.

If only this had been clear and simple information from either BT or EE, it would have saved me close to 2 hours in a chat with EE (which actually proved useless as, according to the information given the second mobile would not switch over until 11th April).

Surely It's obvious this is the overriding information people need - what you need to do (virtually nothing, as it transpires), and when it will all happen - and as such should be displayed in bold, flashing, neon letters.

Hi @Rushy23,

I'm happy to hear your numbers have now switched over and I appreciate your detailed feedback.

I'll make sure it reaches the right people.

Thanks 🙂

James
