No information regarding my SIM card

On Monday I bought a SIM only pay monthly contract. I received an email confirming my purchase and stating my old number will be transferred over, but no information about receiving a SIM card. Can I apply for an eSIM instead as I'm sure it will be quicker to get set up? It won't let me set up my device on my ee account as I don't have a phone number associated with my purchase as I opted to transfer my old number!

Thanks for coming here. 

SIM Orders can take 2-5 working days to be delivered by Royal Mail. Once you have the SIM card, you can request to transfer to an eSIM in your My EE account.
