New sim texts and has mobile data but can't make calls

This is so frustrating and EE is not the most helpful in this regard making contact very very difficult. Got a new SIM, changed over number using PAC code, says everything is good to go and I can text and use mobile data but can't make calls. It just hangs up immediately. HELP. I can't contact them

When did you port your number over? 

Are you on contract or pay as you go?

What number is showing in your phone’s settings?

Have you tried rebooting your phone?
