New phone sim set up

My new phones arrived, I’ve set up the phone and put the new Sim in but it’s not connecting. I can’t make calls or texts or anything ?

What was the reason for the new phone? Is this a new connection? Upgrade? Lost/stolen insurance replacement?

New phone contract , new sim

Thanks for coming to the community. 

Do you have any signal showing on the new phone when you put the SIM into it? If not do you have access to another phone to try the SIM in?
