New EE Sim Only Deal

Hi,

 

Just moved over to a sim only deal from Virgin bringing my old number over.  The chap in the shop yesterday said it could take 3 days for it to take effect.  This morning my Virgin sim card starts saying "No Service" so I replace that with the EE sim.  After restarting my phone I've got the EE sign in the top left and "3G" but nothing works.  Can't phone 150 and no mobile data.  Do I just have to give it some time to kick in or is something I should be doing?

Hello @KieranBS

Welcome to the community. 

The SIM purchased from EE should have a temporary number so you can continue to use your services till your number port completes. 

No number ports are completed over the weekend so this should complete for you Monday or Tuesday at the latest. 

Are you able to make calls and texts OK from the EE SIM?
