@Ab217 have you tried giving the SIM card a quick clean with a damp cloth ? make sure it’s dry before you put it back into the device. if this problem persists, you probably better off requesting a replacement SIM card. You can do this by calling customer support support or by going to a store with in date photo ID to request a replacement SIM card there

So without any detail as to why this person's SIM is not working, "try wiping it with a damp cloth but otherwise get it replaced"
A very interesting way of advising users.

@ee_user14 You seem to have a problem with me and I don’t know why, This will be my last comment to you as you obviously are trying to start something.
And yes a sim can get dirt on it and it could simply need a clean. You or I don’t know how this device lives it’s life what condition it is and what it’s put under day to day. how else do you test a sim that’s not working. That’s not a question for you to reply too it’s something for you to think about.
And it could simply be the sim has failed.

To be fair, a physical chip-to-reader connection within a sealed device wouldn't generally attract dirt ingress unless the connection is broken by virtue of SIM-swapping or replacement.
Without anything beyond "my SIM isn't working" by means of description, there are so many possibilities for the cause that it's just speculative.
A non-working SIM can easily be tested by a 2-way SIM-swap if in doubt. Any EE retail shop should be able to help with that if necessary.
