Just joined EE from Three. Used my pac code and received a sim with a new number

I just joined EE, I filled out to form and put my PAC code in just to receive a sim card with a new number. I need my current number.

help?

Welcome to the community,

When you first get your SIM card, you will have a temporary number, which once you have activated it with your PAC code, will take about 24 hours to complete the change over, you will receive notification from EE that the transfer is complete and you should then see your current number, but you can still use the phone as normal. You will also see that your SIM card from your previous network will switch off once complete.

Just to expand slightly on the great advice @Schockwave has shared here, if you supplied your PAC at the point of sale, your port request should kick in when your new SIM first connects to our network. 

Once this kicks in, or if you call our team and we set it up at our end, the port date will be the next working day if requested before 6pm, or the one after if requested later.
