Please could someone help? I'm tearing my hair out at how dysfunctional the EE experience has been!
For background, in the past week or so I ordered a free PAYG SIM thinking that I'd sign up to EE for signal reasons. I duly transferred my phone number and had a text to say this had completed. However, I found a much cheaper SIM not long after this with a different provider and so wish not to be an EE customer. I've switched many times before, so know the drill, and texted PAC to 67075. No text message with the PAC ever arrived. I tried via the webpage for getting a PAC, but that appears to be permanently down. I tried calling 150 and was immediately cut off. I tried calling 150 from another number and the call cut off when it said they couldn't currently help with top-ups (there were no options to discuss leaving/getting a PAC so figured this was closest). I messaged EE on fb and got a generic response to download the app - did that, but it needs a text passcode to link my device which I have not had come through, so cannot go further with the app. It also suggested calling 150 (🫠) or writing on the forum. So here I am, completely and utterly mindblown by how backward this experience has been!
Please could someone tell me how to get a PAC from EE when I have tried all of the above to no avail?! I'd just like to transfer to the new provider now - not interested in any potential price matching, as this has wasted so much of my time.
Thanks to anyone able to help!

I would imagine your issue is that there is a block on receiving text messages (with the exception of EE service messages) until your SIM is topped up for the first time, leading to a 'catch-22' scenario when trying to request a PAC via SMS.
You may need to call EE Customer Services from another device/number in order to receive a PAC over the phone in this case.

@LetGo , you would need to ring customer service during opening hours, not at night, so between 0800-2200 hours during the week or up to 2100 hours at the weekend.

Update: managed to call 150 today; the call connected and the relevant CS menu option was available! Totally different to yesterday. Whilst the auto PAC text still wasn't working, the CS agent was able to push the text out manually and I've now managed to schedule a port in on my new network.

Thanks for the update @LetGo
I'm glad to hear that you managed to get the PAC sorted.
I hope we can welcome you back in the future.
