If you have an iPhone, just visit Transfer your phone number from your previous iPhone using eSIM Quick Transfer for steps on how to do this.
For Android phones, you can log into your EE app on your new device > Manage > settings > replace SIM > eSIM.
This will download and install an eSIM to your new phone.
It will then send a code to your old phone which you use to activate the new eSIM

can this be done if only have an eSIM and am out of contract ? Thanks

Yes, following the steps above will not affect your current contract terms.

As @Matt_124 correctly pointed out- eSIM transfer can be done at any time, in or out of contract, as it does not affect your account.
