Follow-up on Number Porting Request

G1980

I am writing to inform you that I have just collected a contract phone, a Samsung S25 Ultra, which came with a new SIM card.

I had previously informed your company that I would like to retain my existing phone number (***********) and requested that it be ported to the new SIM. However, this has not yet been completed.

I would appreciate it if you could please look into this matter and confirm when the number transfer will be completed, as this has been ongoing for several weeks now.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue. I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Gerald

@G1980  if you have the EE  card with you abroad then the number port will not happen while you are abroad.   The sim needs to be activated first, that’s not possible when abroad and roaming needs to be enabled for it to connect to a roaming network and that happens after it’s been activated.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

There is no access to individual customer accounts on this public internet forum, and by posting your mobile number you have issued an open invitation for spammers to start contacting you.

Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.

A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales.

If it's gone beyond this time and you've not received any text message notifications regarding your port-in, you should contact EE-CS on 150.

@G1980 , just to add no port in date will be done over the weekend, so it may take up until Tuesday if it was Friday evening.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Thank you for your quick response. I just wanted to let you know that I am currently abroad.

Just to confirm, are you saying that my old number will be ported automatically to the new SIM next week, or do I need to call to have this done?

I would appreciate this being resolved as soon as possible, as the screen on my old phone is damaged

Regards,

Gerald

As per my previous post, we are only fellow users like yourself and have no idea. Only EE-CS have access to your individual account to answer this question.

If you did not supply a PAC as part of your order, then you can submit it by texting PORT to 150. If you do so today, it will be treated as submitted Monday 16th, for a port-in on Tuesday 17th.
