EE app porting numbers from BT to EE

I'm in the process of moving 4 mobile numbers from BT to EE , numbers came from a BT family sim deal and I've been given the PAC code which is the same for all 4 numbers when porting to EE. I don't have my new  EE  sims yet but Ive logged into my EE account and I can see 4 EE phone numbers which I will be porting to my old BT numbers. Ive went into the settingS on my EE APP and see that I can port my old numbers from there and there seems to be individual settings for the 4 EE  number's to be changed from the app. Is this correct ,can I indeed port my family's 4 BT numbers  from my online EE account or EE APP .

A PAC can only be used for 1 no., the no. it was issued for. You are short of 3 PACs.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thanks for your reply ,BT gave me this pac code over the phone when they where signing me up for EE ,they told me the one code was for all four numbers which I thought was a bit strange myself but according to other posts I've read on here one pac code for family sims moving  from BT is indeed the way they are doing it.

Hi @Woodyatlarge

Welcome to the community.

A PAC can have more than one number attached to it, as long as they're on the same account. You will have four temporary EE numbers, which can be replaced by your previous BT ones. Have you already organised the number transfer by giving us the PAC, or is that what you're trying to do?
Chris

Hi Chris

Thanks for your reply.

I got my 4 EE sims today I then phoned EE who took the BT PAC Code I was given by BT along with my four old numbers .They tried to sort it out but said it wouldn't work  and have passed this mess onto some other EE technical team who will get back to me .The EE advisor then said it might be worthwhile getting individual  PAC numbers by texting  PAC to 65075 .This didn't work either, heres whathappened .

Hello, BT here. You asked us for a switching code to move to another mobile provide. As your mobile number is part of an account with multiple numbers, we can't deal with this via text. Please ask the account holder to go to bt.com/mymobile and get another code, or call 0330 1234 150. Thanks.

I then tried to get the PAC codes from my online  BT account but its said online that as I'm still in contract I would be charged for leaving early .

Just waiting on EE gettiback to me now but I'm totally peaved off🥵

I understand why you're frustrated, @Woodyatlarge

We should be able to use the PAC even with four numbers attached to the one. It may be worth calling BT to see if it's possible for them to provide you with a PAC for each number, to make it easier.

Chris

I'll wait and see if EE get back to me then phone BT back

Thanks

I phoned BT and they said firstly that because its was a family group sim deal that it had to be one PAC for the four numbers. I told them when I gave the PAC code to EE it didn't work. They then put me on hold to speak to technical the came back and said they are going to sent four PAC codes and message the codes to each phone within 72 hours.

I'm hoping this will be the solution but let's wait and see .
