Very Disappointed with EE SIM – No Mobile Data on Compatible Device

@

I recently switched from Vodafone to EE after hearing great things from friends about EE’s network quality. I received my EE SIM on 26th May, and ever since inserting it into my phone (Vivo S1 Pro, Android 12), mobile data has not worked at all.

Here’s the issue:

* The phone shows "4G" or "4G+" when data is off, but as soon as I turn on mobile data using the EE SIM, the signal disappears and the internet doesn’t work.

* I tested the EE SIM in my friend's phone — it worked fine.

* I also tried my friend’s EE SIM in my phone — same issue: no internet.

* But other SIMs (Vodafone, Lycamobile, etc.) work perfectly with full internet access in my phone.

This clearly shows the problem is with EE SIMs not being compatible with my device — which is unacceptable. My phone is fully functional and supports 4G. It's extremely disappointing that a leading company like EE does not support a widely used phone model for data services.

To make things worse, when I asked about getting a phone on contract (to avoid switching networks again), I was told I’d have to wait until **November**. Should I really be expected to stay without internet until then? This is frustrating, unfair, and a terrible customer experience.

I had high hopes for EE, but this experience has left me completely dissatisfied. I won't be recommending EE to my family or friends after this. I sincerely hope EE takes customer feedback seriously and improves their service policies.

The premise of a SIM-only plan is that EE supply network service, which you have admitted is working. You are responsible for the device - in the vast majority of cases, Android & Apple phones sourced elsewhere should work fine : But this is never a guarantee.

New SIM-only customers have a 6month lockout period after which you are entitled to upgrade to a phone-based plan, which I presume is where the November reference comes from. You otherwise have a statutory 14days "change of mind" right of cancellation, assuming you purchased the SIM-only plan online or via telesales.

All that said, you have installed EE's specific mobile data config to your phone, haven't you?..... https://setup-ee.wdsglobal.com/

Hi @muhammadusamaa0

Are you in the UK when you tried to activate your service.

Are you using more than one SIM in the device. (Duel SIM).

Thanks

@muhammadusamaa0  Have you put EEs APN settings in to your device?  Without doing this you’ll get no data .

I already installed apn setting in my phone. Everything is double checked.
But internet is not working.
Yeah I'm in UK London. And i have 2 Sims in my phone. Lyca best service and
EE Worst. Why it's not working?. Why it's not compatible in my device. EE
not helping me. I said to EE okay then give me contract phone. Then i can
use EE
But they said wait 6 months.bad service.

@muhammadusamaa0 , if you are in London, have you thought about going to an EE high street store? They may be able to help with the problem you are having, there are plenty of them there, I believe, not sure why you are having such problems with data, though.
