EE Data sim 120gb preloaded issue

I purchased 2 preloaded 120gb data sims at different times which state they last for 12 months from first activation (when inserted in device). I kept these for a  future trip across the uk as it got delayed and just gone to start using them and they both say not active with no signal. I have only today

There was no mention when i purchased or on any of the packaging that they had to be activated by a certain date and dont show any valid until X.

Why are these not working and how do i get them working or replaced. Both purchased from amazon at end of 2022 and also one in 2023.

Sounds like your PAYG SIMs have gone into hibernation at least. The 2002 SIM is almost certainly lost.

When did you last use the 2003 SIM for a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

The issue is the sims are brand new never opened. They were £50 each with 120gb preloaded to last 12 months from first use. The issue again there is they were never activated until today, but they dont activate.

I can understand if they had been used previously but as they were new and not used and nothing states an expiry or use by date on the packets of these brand new items worth £100

2022 and 2023. not 02 and 03.

I have the exact same problem.bought same SIM April 2022 tried in mini wifi last week!....no connection.spent 2 hours on chat line +cs phone number. Told mobile number of this SIM has been rescinded and re-issued.. suggested return to seller ARGOS...for refund.tried to do that the same day...told cannot get a refund!... because it says on the packaging 'lasts for 12 months'..!I explained again that statement concerns from activation!...no refund available!..try EE again!...GRRR!...I'm considering  the bank card charge back system?...no one wants to take responsibility -make a decision!... TOTALLY FRUSTRATED!...........

Hi @Gorillafingers

Thanks for coming to the community.

While the allowances on the SIM would last for up to 12 months once activated, if the SIM has not been activated or used it would be cancelled and the number reallocated.

Once the number has been reallocated, we'd not be able to activate the SIM for you and with it being purchased from Argos, our team would only be able to refer you to point of purchase.
