E-sim - can i still use plastic sim in 4g router

i have an iphone 12 with plastic sim and when away in my caravan i put the sim in my 4g router as i often get better signal this way.

if i upgrade to a phone with no sim slot and have to use esim, would i still be able to use my old plastic sim in my 4g router.

im guessing not but wondered if theres a way round this

EE don't sell any phones without physical SIM slots. You can only have one SIM active on a mobile number at a time.

ah thanks it seems i had some dodgy advice about no sim slot which was for usa, thanks
