E SIM for Whatsapp business

Hi Folks

 

I'm looking to set up a Whatsapp for business account alongsde my existing  EE number usinfg an Esim

 

a few questions:

 

1. Can i choose/be allocated a different number for the Whatsapp messages to  keep separation from my phone calls etc?  

2. How do I set this up? I can downlaoad the Whatsapp for business to any of my handsets

any help gratefully received

  1. Why do you need to keep them separate? They are in diff places/apps. All actions on a specific SIM are associated with its (same) mobile no. You can't mix up your WhatsApp msgs with your normal calls.
  2. You just download WhatsApp onto a handset holding the SIM & it associates with that no.

Doesn't WhatsApp just verify your right to use a particular mobile number by sending an OTP via SMS to said number?

In which case, the second comment on the previous post answers  it. If not... you'd have to ask WhatsApp/Meta whether this is possible... it's their app, not EE's

@AndyBoytWCR  If you don’t want your personal number used for WhatsApp business you’ll need a separate line for this.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
