Changeover from BT via upgrade

I’ve just upgraded my iPhone and in the process changed from BT to EE.
I was sent a ‘temporary’ SIM which I loaded in the new phone. I had requested a number transfer from my old phone. I was advised this would typically take 1 working day & that I would get a text message confirming when it happened. It is now 48 hrs on and no text message!
Strangely, if I phone my chosen ( old number), both phones ring, but if I ring out from my new phone, it still shows the temporary number. What next..

You did get a PAC code from BT to give to EE.
Have you rebooted your phone?
It indeed it sounds like the transfer has not been completed.
Unfortunately nothing will happen over the weekend, but it could still complete this evening, otherwise I would suggest ringing customer service and see what they have to say.

- Roaming has been removed & I didn’t ask for this in Roaming
- Upgrading to "no-charge EU Roaming" in Roaming
- Upgrading to a sim contract, will I have to change the SIM card in SIM cards & Porting
- Shared Rural upgrade in Mobile Network discussions
- Was told I can upgrade to a full roaming contract in Roaming
