Change Phones

Hello,
From now on I would like to use phone B with my current EE account, what do I have to do?
Just remove the EE SIM card from phone A and insert it into phone B and enter the EE PIN number?
Phone B was used before, so do I have to do anything to prepare it for this? (delete old PIN number?)
Thank you.

Hello @off_ice ,

Welcome to the community,

You just need to put the SIM card into phone B and you will be ready to use it, not sure what you mean about pin from EE, but you can always swap the SIM card into another phone, as it is the SIM card that is registered to your account.

It is the same when you get a new phone and want to use the SIM card, you just put it in the phone and you are ready to use the phone.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

OK, no PIN.

Hmm... Didn't I enter some number somewhere when I inserted my SIM card in the beginning...?

Hi @off_ice

Welcome to the community.

You should only need to enter a PIN if you've set up a PIN for that SIM card before. Is it asking you to enter a PIN?

Thanks, I've never set up a PIN, and it's not asking. I only remember from a visit in Germany that entering a PIN was required there to activate a SIM card for another phone. So maybe it was just another company's policy.
