Can my ex port their number

Is it possible for my ex to port their number to their new network and EE issue me with a new number for the contract? 

I have multiple lines on the one contract and but would prefer to finish the contract rather than have to pay an early termination fee.

Porting a number naturally cancels the associated contract - it's two inseparable halves of the same process.
