Cannot use calls texts or data

I recently transferred my number from Three however I cannot use my new sim it seems. No one can call/text me and I can’t ring or text out- the bars show along the top however it only ever displays 3G and every time I try to Google or download Apps, it asks me to connect to a network.
I have tried everything I can from turning my phone on and off, removing the SIM and putting it back in, turning the phone off and on (I’ve also tried leaving off), I’ve made sure my number is in on my settings and have tried resetting all of my settings including network settings on my iPhone.
It’s been 5 days and I’m really at a loss- can anyone please help?

Good morning @MeganS.

When you go into your phone settings does the EE network show as connected?

Even if your number has not yet transferred you should still be able to use your SIM with a temporary number.

Does your old Three SIM still work?

Katie

Morning Katie,

Yeah it's picked up that it's connected under my 'Phone' settings- are there any other settings that I should check?

Three SIM has completely gone off now, the number in my settings/under my contact is my 'transferred number' however on my EE app under my details, my temporary number is still in there. I did try to change this however it sent a verification code to my 'transferred' number however I can't receive this as it's obviously not working ☹️

Thank you

Thanks for checking @MeganS

I would recommend giving us a call so our technical care team can check your port and ensure this has been transferred successfully.

To get in touch from another device please call 07953 966 150.

That's great to hear @MeganS

Thanks for coming back and letting me know.

Have a great weekend,

Katie

Hi. Although I am connected to the EE network, I cannot use my phone to send and receive calls, data or messages.

I am now in Romania and I cannot go to a EE shop. When I call 150 - it only gives me the option to top-up my number. I cannot speak to anyone. And as I cannot call from my mobile, I cannot call the abroad EE customer service number.

Please advice, what I can do?

Thank you!

Hi @LimitlessMeYou,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Is it a brand new EE pay as you go SIM you're using?

James

Hi James!

No, it's not new. I've been having it for over a year or so!

It never done this before. I'm sure if it were a way to speak to customer service they could see what is the problem. Unfortunately, I cannot reach them. Whenever I call 150 I only get the top-up option, no choice to talk to a customer representative. And I cannot call any other numbers, either. There is no live chat available online, which for such a big company as EE I would see this as a must-have service for their customers. I mean, if someone is stuck in the same situation like me, there is no way we can reach out and communicate with them. There are things that even the community cannot solve, because it could be a technical issues that can only be addressed by the technical department. Since I cannot reach them, they cannot provide me with any support.

I wonder if they have an email available to where I can directly address my problem? Thus they can verify my number in the system and provide me clear guidance.

Should you know of an email address to contact customer support, that would avail much.

Thank you!

Hi @LimitlessMeYou

No, there isn't an email address for customer service. You could try calling one of our service numbers through a VoIP service, such as Skype or our international number from another phone.
