Cancelled contract

my ex cancelled my last sim, I ordered a new sim under my name to put in my phone and it’s not working, and EE won’t let me get another phone. I’m not 100% sure where I’m going with this or what to do but yes, is there any way I can make my phone work again on another sim?

Hi @miad123

Are you the bill payer?

If not then you'll need to get your own contract/payg sim/phone.

Thanks

@miad123    If the device has been network blocked it’ll not work with any sim,  if only the sim was cancelled then the device will still work with a new sim.     When did you get this sim as it can take up to 24 hours to activate provided the device isn’t network blocked.       Did the last sim contract also include this device?  And you’ll probably not know this but had the device been reported lost/stolen ?   If this device was purchased by yourself then you can request the device to be unblocked by calling customer support the device wasn’t owned by your ex,  you will probably need to provide proof that you legally own the device provided it wasn’t part of a full device contract that was takeout in your ex name at any point.
