Reopening account after switching to other provider.

Good morning,

I was EE customer (sim only - last contract) from 2016 to Dec 2024, then I have switched/ported my number to 1p.

Since then I switched my broadband from BT to EE as tempted with the possible deal on broadband and sim only contracts.

I managed to put an order for broadband so that all OK.

Every single time when I try to add sim only plan or even phone plan at the and of the process I'm getting an error message that something went wrong and the account is closed.

Have you had similar issue? Is it possible to reopen an account that I have closed and then switched to 1p or do I have to open new account but then will be unable to get EE one.

Any ideas please?, I have literally tried everything.

Thank you

Hi @Somebody1

Thanks for coming to the community.

It sounds like it may be trying to link to your old mobile account if it is closed, but don't worry, you'll still be able to get the EE One discount.

The best thing I can suggest would be to speak to our sales team, who can have a look at the mobile side of it for you, and help to get it linked to your broadband account and remove the link to the closed account.

You can reach them on 150 from an EE mobile or 08009566000 from any other phone.
