I recently ported over however the phone is holding onto the original number when texting people.
I changed the number in message but this hasn't fixed the issue.
Ideally need a new sim with the correct number on it.

Hi @ohnowrongnumber,
This policy only applies to lost, stolen or damaged SIM replacements. I'm sorry the process was incorrectly followed in this case.

Perhaps they took the incorrect number as damaged.
The policy should only apply to lost or stolen really. I've had sim cards in the past that wouldn't send text messages but would handle calls or wouldn't connect to 4G and just fell back to 3G. In those cases the phone was usable and didn't need the sim disabling which the provider didn't do.

Hi @ohnowrongnumber,
A damaged SIM would be classified as one that is physically damaged and can't be used.

The person I was chatting too wanted to me to go to the e store with my ID and get the sim activated straight away. I couldn't see how that would help unless it was an e-simm they were thinking off. Otherwise there wasn't much point in activating the new sim as i hadn't got it yet.

Hi @ohnowrongnumber,
If you visit a store with ID, they'll be able to give you a new SIM card straight away.

Why was I thinking of the online store. Getting old and senial. However travelling to town never really appeals at the best of times. The sim should appear hopefully Monday.

Fingers crossed @ohnowrongnumber 🙂
