About keeping my number

I ordered a sim only from ee online and I chose to keep my existing phone number. But after I received the sim card it was a new number. It has been two days since I received the sim card, please tell me approximately how long it will take for my number to be converted to ee's service. Thanks a lot!

Yes, porting's not done on w/e's & BHs but started the next working day & completed the following day.
