Using my phone and data in particular in India

I'm in India. I have a contract with EE. I have nearly 100GB of data remaining but have recieved a text telling me my roaming data allowance has run out. When I read the website it says I can only buy roaming data once here and I will recieve a text about it on arrival. I didn't. So it seems I can't. Can anyone advise please? @members

Welcome to the community.

Did you activate roaming before you left the UK? Have you been able to use your phone OK till now? Could you try manually connecting to a different Indian mobile operator, to see if it triggers the 'welcome' message please?

When roaming on contract you may only use 50 GB data per billing month if you have more.
