Am going to USA next week - my plan says I can buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £25.00 and use my phone as I would at home. I have done this before in North America, with varying degrees of success (often it just doesn't work, and many places there have free wifi anyway).
However, I almost exclusively just use Whatsapp, Google Maps and the Internet to book stuff. I don't text or make calls. (dont do that at home, no reason to start when I am away!!)
On the list of what it would cost me to use my phone if I DIDNT buy this pass, along with the costs of calls and text, it says DATA - BUY DATA ADD ON
I don't understand if this means I HAVE to buy the Roam Abroad pass to get access to data? The costs of anything else just doesn't affect me.
Can someone clarify for me please? Hope I have explained myself well enough x

If you don't buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £25 per billing month you would need to buy the Travel Data Pass for £6.26 /day giving you a minuscule 500MB each day.
Remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.
