Any information on the best mobile phone options for travelling from uk to Argentina?

Are you on PAYG or pay-monthly, for starters?

If you're PAYG, ensure you've used your phone in the UK before travelling. Pay-monthly, text ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK. Either way, this ensures the free roaming facility is enabled thus ensuring coverage abroad.

You'll receive a Welcome text upon arrival at a country giving your roaming options.

If you are on contract, you may use unlimited calls & texts & 500 MB data per day in the EE ROW Zone 3, when you buy the Zone 3 Pass for £7.50 / day. Otherwise you will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/argentina.

If you are on contract, just remember to text ROAMING to 150 before leaving UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your no.

If you are on PAYG, just make sure you had already used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text in the UK.
