Been in Ireland for 2 weeks. Last week my Mobile Data worked, this week it doesn't. I haven't changed any setting since, I have an unlimited plan so haven't run out of data. Roaming is on.
I can see I have full bars and it claims I have 4g but no internet connection on any apps. Phone calls and text still works.
I have tried turning off and on multiple times. I have tried manually selecting network providers rather than automatic. I have checked that all the apps I use and still have permission to use mobile data.
I'm in Ireland now for a long while and need my mobile data to work.
Any suggestions?

Were the symptoms the same across all available local networks?
If you text BALANCE to 150, what is the result?

Hiya,
Symptoms are the same on all networks I could connect to.
When I text BALANCE to 150 I get the response:
"Your current charges to go onto your next bill are £0.00 (this excludes line rental, VAT & any unprocessed charges). You have unlimited data.
For info on our other Text Services, reply HELP or go to ee.co.uk/text150"

That rules out a local network issue & also data allowance.
The other possibilities are a spend-cap problem or excess usage above the roaming FUP (50GB per billing month) - check your spend-cap to ensure you have a little headroom. You shouldn't need this headroom, but there have been cases recently that suggest the opposite.

For avoidance of doubt, you've mentioned data permissions but is "data roaming" still enabled?

Hello,
I have check my spend cap and it says "no spend cap active"
My current period roaming is 2.93GB
I double checked my data roaming and it is still enabled

Perhaps you are experiencing the same problem we have had for the past 5 months (we live in Northern Ireland, but are frequently in the Republic of Ireland).
The problem appears to be the introduction of their Online Charging System (OCS), which disabled receipt of incoming calls from non-UK numbers when roaming.
EE have spent months investigating this (at Level 2 and above), and are now on their 4th attempt to fix it (5 months later), but still no resolution.
EE indicate that this is afecting both Ireland and Denmark roaming (at least) - though I expect that many users just aren't romaing sufficiently to realise its a problem with EE, rather than their phone or account.
