I am roaming and was out of coverage

I am in another country. I Turned on roaming data at some point. It worked fine for a while but then suddenly stopped and i was kicked out of the network as well. I tried everything including converting my sim to an e-sim. But then when it didnt work either i deleted the esim. Now i cannot get it back. Does anyone know what i shpuld do? I am coming back on Saturday but i am wondering if it is somehow salvageable..

@Rukencakici : eSIMs need activating in UK. Hence converting to 1 while abroad is bound to fail. Now you'll have to wait until back in UK.

In hindsight for you, if you were able to roam then your SIM was working fine. Trying to change from a working SIM to another SIM abroad, was an exercise in futility - and will almost certainly now result in you being offline until your return to the UK.

You've not said specifically what else it was that you tried, just that it was "everything"... one standard bit of troubleshooting is to manually search for local networks and then select each one in turn. Sometimes problems are network-specific & swapping resolves - if not, it at least eliminates a variable.

Yes I did try changing the automatic setting to manual and try and connect to every available network for several days continually. Only one of the available networks worked for a few seconds but then stopped every time. Eventually it didn't work at all even for a few seconds. I tried turning the phone off and on. I tried taking the sim out and putting it back in. These were the sorts of things I tried.

Hi @Rukencakici 

When you change your SIM, the previous SIM is permanently disconnected. 
However, you'd have needed your physical SIM to be working for eSIM to be activated anyway. 

At this stage the only option to get reconnected would be to order a replacement SIM online to your home for when you arrive back into the UK.
Or pop into any EE store with ID and they will be happily issue you a replacement SIM card. Might be worth checking if there is a store near the airport that you arrive back at. 

Without a working SIM card there isn't a way to help investigate why your connection stopped working.

To be fair, the physical SIM was working. The OP mentioned that roaming worked, but they subsequently had problems.

I don't see any evidence for that being caused by a SIM fault.

Not to take away from the thrust of your comments.
