Do I need to increase my spending cap to purchase a Roaming add-on?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to EE and have never used roaming before. I live in the UK and will be traveling to Spain. I have an All-Rounder Plan that I pay monthly. I know that I need to turn roaming on before I leave. I'd like to purchase the 7-day roaming add-on but it's unclear whether or not I need to increase my spending cap before I do so. My existing spending cap will not cover roaming charges.

Many thanks in advance for the help!

Your spend cap does not restrict the 7-day Roaming Pass cuz you consciously choose to buy it or not. It would restrict the 1-day daily charges cuz these are auto imposed when you don't have a Roaming Pass.

When did you get your All-Rounder plan? I thought current All-Rounder plans include EU roaming charges.

Hi @clopez,

Welcome to the EE Community

The information given by @XRaySpeX is correct regarding the spending cap and roaming add-ons, roaming add-ons do not count towards your spend cap, except for the EU daily charge option.

As mentioned if you are on an All Rounder plan that started after 29th Aug 2024 you should have EU roaming included automatically as part of your plan. If you have an All Rounder plan that started before this date, you should have the additional option of selecting EU roaming as your inclusive extra if you wanted.
