Hi,
I travel extensively around the world for work, particularly EU and USA. Everything was great with my inclusive add on as the roaming pass but now it seems I need either the EU pass or the Zone 1 and I can’t switch them on and off as needed only every 30 days which is no good to me as I could be in the states one week and Italy the next.
im wondering here if I get an O2 eSIM on a tariff that doesn’t charge roaming in the USA can I divert/forward all calls to the O2 eSIM to avoid roaming charges on incoming calls on my regular EE sim?
does anyone know if it’s possible to have EU AND Zone 1 at the same time?

Hi there @comeocome
Thanks for coming back to us.
Which plan do you have? Are you in the UK or abroad when sending the text?
Did you get a reply from the text?

I’ll let @comeocome respond to you your question but as I’ve already said and CS have confirmed txting to 150 more than once per month does not consistently work. CS line to me was ‘Sometimes works’
so here we are you’ve left thousands of customers having call you multiple times a month

This is what happens when I tried to do it in text. I agree with the @Starsky3651 - why can’t we do it ourselves either via text or the app? Then you don’t have that many people calling you all the time. That’s more costs for EE too.

I suppose the only downside is if you need to change within the same billing month. I selected ROW1 as I was travelling with work. But then had a trip to France and Switzerland last weekend where I needed to pay the day rate as I can’t change my extra until the 23rd.
Still worked out for me as it was cheaper to take the hit on the France / Switzerland trip than it was to pay for my time in Qatar.

There we have it - oh just txt 150 and then you don’t even get to choose the current packages @comeocome that roam abroad pack is the one that isn’t available anymore.
This is a ridiculously poorly thought out change which has been half implemented and left thousands in the lurch
