Can't add add-on roaming in Spain

Hello everyone! I have a pay-as-you-go number I got in England last week and added 10 pounds when I got to Spain to use the add-on roaming option for 7 days, but every time I try to use my 10 pouns credit (which it is the cost of the add-on), the page won't load at all and gives me a message saying 

{"message":"Service Unavailable"}

Can I have some help, please? I've tried to restart my phone several times and nothing works yet.

How was it used in UK? Did you make a chargeable call or text? That's what it needs to be able to be used abroad.

Are you already in Spain?

Are you on pay as you go or contract?

If on contract, did you enable roaming on your account? No need if on pay as you go, as it is automatically allowed.

Have you used your SIM card in the UK before going to Spain, as it needs first activating in the UK?

Did you receive the welcome message when landing in Spain?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

I've been in Spain for two days now. My number is a pay as you go I got in Manchester last week where it was activated and used it in the UK without any problems.

When I landed in Spain, I got a message from welcome EE sms saying I could use the roaming service by sending ROAMEU7D to 150, but this message does not go through and I've tried several times too. I'm also trying on the app and website using the add-on option for a 7-day pass (10 pounds) but then I get that service unavailable message all the time.

Hello! No, to be honest, I didn't. I was on holiday in the UK and just used the sim card for internet, I did not make any calls or sent any sms. My plan is active until March 13th, but I want to use the roaming here in Spain since I top up my credit just for that. Is there any way I could do that?

Only by bringing it or sending it to a friend in UK to make a call or text.
