Are there charges for receiving calls and text while abroad?

Specifically in when in China. I have checked the EE website and it only mentions ‘making calls and sending text’ but another post I saw said there are charges for receiving calls as well.

You're quite right - I could have sworn there'd been a response to advise of incoming & outgoing charges being the same. Either case, this has now been confirmed!

Receiving texts is free. Receiving calls when you have no roaming pass is being questioned. When you have the roaming pass receiving calls is inclusive.

My understanding of the recent question which was raised by some Stars privately recently, is that inbound calls whilst abroad are charged the same as outgoing.

@bristolian : Where was that said? All I saw was that it will be reported back for clarification.
