I used up my 30gb plan faster I had a balance of £22.60 I closed this plan and chose the 100gb plan and paid £7.40 extra. Why don't I still have a balance on my account?

I exhausted the £20 plan and had a balance of £22.60. This morning I topped up my £7.40 balance and opted for the £30 plan. Now my internet is down and I don't have a balance.
