losing my credit and mobile number

A month or so ago i received a message from EE that i needed to call or send a text message to retain my credit and mobile number

I did send a text message to someone the 26th of last week and i was charged and it was took from my credit balance

I received another message today saying the same, i need to send a message or make a call within the next 3 months 

What is going on ???

I am abroad at the moment so tried sending a complaint to EE to save calling and getting charged further, but after typing out my complaint the page disappeared and now it is unavailable

Hello @telmel

Thanks for coming here. 

If you've had no chargeable activity on your account for 60 days, we'll send you a text to make sure you're still using the SIM card and you'd like to keep the account active. If you haven't used your phone for any chargeable activity for 179 days, your account will go into hibernation. 

Should you wish to discuss the status of your account or any texts you are receiving I would recommend getting in touch by giving us a call.
