I have a PAYG number that appears to have been disconnected. I have tried to top up. However when I do process to topup diverts to sending a text message only I am not receiving any from that number.
I am currently abroad, the number they recommend to call from abroad does not connect. Is there someone I can communitcate via online chat?

There is no online chat for PAYG. What is your reason for thinking your line has been disconnected - when did you last use it for any chargeable action?
