Brand new user.  I'm faffing!  Can't get data to work.  I have a new sim card- the website reports 1GB of data on it.  Voice calls work in iphone so sim is activated I presume? but not data in iPhone..or in iPad.  It's for my (2nd hand) ipad pro.  (my BT phone Sim card works 100% in ipad so not the ipad)

@Andrew1959  It could be the iPad as that iPad could be locked to BT.   If you go to Settings>General>About and scroll down to Network Provider Lock what does it say ?  It needs to say No Sim Restrictions as that’s a unlocked device to use on any network.    While BT owns EE it doesn’t mean a BT network locked device will work on EE.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

not solved..new to the buttons.  Thanks Chris for the suggestion.  With sim in the Network Provider says EE.  With sim removed it says iPad 50.0

Corrected it for you.

However I think you are looking at wrong field. @Chris_B said "Network Provider Lock" not just "Network Provider".

Thanks XRaySpeX.  Very much appreciating the help peeps.

I'm using an iPad Pro 11" 2nd gen software 15.5....can't see a Network Provider Lock

Popped in a spare Giff Gaff (O2) sim and that works fine.  Also BT (EE) sim works as well.

Have tried the 'problem' new EE SIM in 2 x iPhones and both work with voice class but not data.

Suspect I've not pressed the right buttons in my account to set up data...?

Is my data package 'live'?Is my data package 'live'?

@Andrew1959 : Below the stuff you just posted what does "Your usage" show?

What does texting AL to 150 from it fully report verbatim (it is free)? Probably need it in the phone for this.

Texting AL to 150 gives me....

"your current balance is ££8.30  last top up was 9.00 today at 1530.  For more info on your packs, add on (etc)

For info on our other text service reply HELP (etc)"

Ah ha.  New screen popped up saying I have no data (despite account showing 1GB).  I have just bought some data.....and it all works.

Thanks all.  Now it is sorted!
