Why has EE taken my online PAYG top up, but not put it on my phone?

Hi,

Can anyone help please. I’ve just bought a PAYG phone for my mum. I’ve just payed for a top up online. It’s all gone through, but it’s not showing up on my phone. I’ve rebooted it, but still no luck. It’s this a common problem?
