Hi there. Before I left the UK in March, I was changed to a pay as you go and told to send a text message to a UK number every 3 months to keep the number active. I activated my number before leaving the UK and topped it up with £5. I tried sending a text message to a UK number today but it keeps saying delivery failed. Any assistance would be very much appreciated

No first time trying today
Multiple short replies make it a tad tricky to work out what's being answered. That said, I think you're saying that you didn't try making a call or sending a text between transferring to PAYG, and today?
That makes it tricky to ID whether this issue is caused by a lack of roaming facility, or your SIM having been hibernated for non-usage. The former can only be resolved by your SIM being used on EE's UK network, the latter can be rectified by contacting EE CS - using another phone or web-calling app as necessary.

Hi everyone thanks for all the feedback and prompts
Just to answer everyone
I was switched over to PAYE on the 20th of March before leaving the UK at the end of March. After being switched and before leaving the UK, I did activate the number and use my phone. I also topped it up with £5. Yesterday was the first time trying to send a text message to a UK number but it keeps saying failed to deliver. However, I have been able to make calls to UK numbers as well as receive messages/texts from UK numbers so I am not sure why I just can't seem to be able to send text messages to a UK number. As I said I am currently in Malaysia, so I ensured all numbers had the international codes. I even tried using a VPN to set my location to the UK in the hopes that that might work but it did not. I could call the EE but that would be a very expensive call so just trying to avoid that.

Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.
